Digital Indicator for Load And Displacement Monitoring

TD-9000T TEDS RohS USB

Teac TD-9000T | Digital Indicator for force and displacement monitoring using load cells and displacement gauges

The TD-9000T is a digital indicator for cost-effective load and stroke measurement using a load cell and a displacement gauge. It can be used for convenient and efficient process monitoring and verification as well as quality assurance in many industries and is easy to operate via its large, 4.3-inch (¼ DIN size) color touchscreen.

With high-speed A/D conversion at a sampling rate of 25 kHz, the TD-9000T provides the high precision required for monitoring any modern production process. Waveforms can be checked in real time during measurement, and measurement data can be saved to SD card and analyzed later using our free TD-View software.

Clear Overview on the Main Screen

In value display mode, the unit shows the real-time load cell value and setting conditions, while the waveform mode allows to make OK/NG judgment on the waveform in real time.
Note: When the unit is turned on, the screen last open when it was turned off reopens (indicator value or waveform screen).

Two Options for Power Supply

The TD-9000T can be connected directly to an existing supply voltage of 24 volts DC (power consumption: 13 W).

A mains adapter for connection to the 230 volt mains is available as an accessory.

Two Inputs for Strain (Voltage) and Displacement (Pulse)

The TD-9000T supports pulse input (A/B phase or A phase, differential square wave (RS-422 conformance)) and voltage input at ±5.2 volts. It is able to measure load over time as well as load over displacement.

High-speed Sampling for Reliable Measurement

With high-speed sampling up to 25 kHz (5 kHz is also selectable), the TD-9000T enables highly accurate, reliable measurements.

Easy TEDS Calibration

TEDS allows easy calibration and saves the trouble of inputting numerical values during manual input calibration. For TEDS-enabled strain gauge transducers, the rated output value (mV/V) and nominal capacitance are stored in their TEDS memory, allowing repeated calibration based on this data.

Note: This product only supports 4-kbit TEDS.

TEDS allows calibration based on information stored in the load cell.

Linearization Calibration

The linearity of load measurements can be improved by increasing the number of calibration points.

Use the TD-9000T’s linearization calibration after performing actual load calibration and equivalent input calibration to further improve your measurement results.

Measurement linearity errors can be reduced by adding additional calibration points.

Four Different Methods for Real-Time Judgment

1. Continuous Judgment

Continuous judgment is a method to determine whether measured values are acceptable or not by continuously comparing them with four different comparison values. In addition to digital values, the TD-9000T can also display graphs.

2. Band Judgment

Band judgment is a method that continuously compares and judges measured values that change with time and displacement using the permissible bandwidth. Instead of fixed values, any curved line can be used for comparison.

Band evaluation enables the comparison with any curved line

3. Multi-Zone Judgment

Multi-zone judgment is a method that determines whether or not the measured values are within the zones defined as areas of allowable load and time or displacement.

Eight types of holds can be used to judge as acceptable/unacceptable: constant comparison, sampling, peak, bottom, peak to peak, average value, maximum/minimum and inflection point. The measured result for one process can be judged in a maximum of five zones. Switching between zones is also possible from an external input.

4. Combined Band & Multi-Zone Judgment

This is a judgment method that determines a result to be acceptable or not by combining band judgment and multi-zone judgment in one step. This enables detailed verification even with complicated waveforms.

Data Output

Analog output

The D/A converter allows for analog output that corresponds to the unit indicator value.
Voltage output: 0 to ±10 V
Current output: 4–20 mA
The maximum output voltage can be set between ±1 V and ±10 V in 1-V steps.

Digital output

Standard feature: RS-232C, USB
(RS-232C and USB cannot be used at the same time)
Options: Ethernet/IP, CC-Link (planned)

Data Saving and Display Functions for Measured Data

The TD-9000T saves measurement data, setting information and judgment results in CSV format, making it easy to verify and utilize the results. Data files are always saved internally but can also be saved to an SD card for external processing.

CSV files include a header or meta section (device numbers, measurement dates and times, sensor numbers, work numbers and other measurement data) and a data section (measurement data and comparison waveforms).

The internal memory can also store up to 16 sets of measurement conditions and up to four sets of load cell or sensor settings.

Diagnostic Functions

Static strain display

This function can be used to investigate defects such as loadcell deterioration and plastic deformation.

The input signal is displayed in strain amount units (µST).

A measured value deviating from the standard may indicate a defect in the load cell or sensor

Disconnection detection

The connection points of the load cell can be checked in real time. If the possibility of an interruption is detected, the location of the possible interruption appears in red.

An indicated interruption indicates a cable break or a disconnected connection

Input/output terminal check function

The status of control input/output signals on the back of the main unit can be checked.

Input terminals:
Depending on the input signal, LOW (ON with yellow indicator) or HIGH (OFF) is shown.

Output terminals:
Output can be turned on/off for the connectors as desired. Use this when checking output connections.

Easy To Understand Settings Screens And Messages

The operating interface of the TD-9000T takes the user’s point of view into consideration, making it easy to investigate the cause when a problem occurs. The display language can be changed between English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean.

The unit also allows to configure the judgment process by allowing inflection points to be defined, for example.

Free Software to Analyze Your Data Offline

TD-View is software that manages data measured by TD-9000T on a PC. It allows you to display and statistically analyze the data recorded on the SD card and shows its true ability in statistical process control. TD-View cannot display only individual measurement data (load over time, displacement over time, load over displacement), but also trends and histograms of OK/NG judgment points for the entire list and statistically calculated values (Data, OK/NG Count, Average, Maximum, Minimum, Variance, S.D, Fluctuation, Process Capability Index).

In addition to saving the measurement data in CSV format, value lists and graph data can be reviewed with a simple operation.
